About Mark
Mark Buccella is a strategic problem solver, design thinker, and player/coach passionate about helping real people get real work done in the real world. He founded Level-Up to empower teams with design skills so they can tackle the hard things they don’t think they can do now. He provides training and works shoulder-to-shoulder with teams as he coaches them through doing the work hands-on.
Mark has over 20 years of experience designing and inventing digital products. In that time, he’s led hundreds of design thinking engagements for organizations ranging in size from a few people to thousands in over a dozen industries, including B2B/B2C, Education, Energy/Utilities, Financial Services, Fitness/Wellness, Healthcare, and Retail/Fashion.
Prior to Level-Up, Mark was a Senior Design Principal in the Product Engineering & Experience Lab at West Monroe Partners where he led co-creation sessions, facilitated collaboration sessions, led design sprints and research, and drove design and development.
Some of Mark’s recent accomplishments:
He helped a team at an electric utility reimagine how they manage inventory. He guided them through field research to validate challenges and facilitated collaboration sessions to help them distill insights and ideate on potential solutions. He helped them create a vision and roadmap for a digital suite to forecast material needs and improve visibility across the supply chain while reducing friction and improving collaboration across roles.
He led a co-creation session for a large regional healthcare provider to reimagine and enhance the maternity experience for both mothers and nurses.
